Robinson Named to Agriculture Committee
State Sen. Kenneth Robinson of Winchester met with Department of Agriculture officials to discuss the details of the Department’s Regional [Advisory committee’s operation. He was recently named as Virginia’s representative on the committee.
The committee is composed of leaders in agriculture throughout the nation, who are assigned the job of providing “on-site” information on the problems and needs of the farmer. The program will allow future assessments of America’s agricultural status to be based on specific views and information from those who are involved. Robinson said he will begin next month to set up a state-wide committee to work with him in relaying information to the department.
