Mr. Varner Sustains
Broken Leg Sat.
B. M. Varner of Sperryville wat hospitalized Saturday night with a broken leg sustained when he was caught between the bumpers on two pickup trucks. The mishap occurred on Route 231, two and a half miles south of Sperryville and Mr. Varner was taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by the Sperryville Rescue Squad and then transferred to the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
Mr. Varner ran off the highway in his ’55 Chevrolet pickup and when his brother, S. W. Varner, also of Sperryville, attempted to pull the truck back onto the highway with his ’57 Chevrolet pickup, B. M. Vamer was caught between the two and sustained a fracture of the femur in his left limb.
