Ainnan First Class Robert E. Armstrong, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward B. Armstrong, Amissviile, Va., has been named Outstanding Airman in his unit at Pope AFB, NC.
Airman Armstrong, a site development specialist with a unit of the Tactical Air Command, was selected for his exemplary conduct and duty performance.
The airman, a 1964 graduate of Culpeper County High School, received his B. S. degree in civil engineering in 1968 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute.
His wife, Christina, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Davis Raab, 1475 Waggaman Circle, McLean, Va.
