Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Iordan of Flint Hill celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at their home on November 29, 1970 with a reception given by their daughters, and families, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Tinch, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Will Brown and Miss Demetrice Jordan. More than fifty friends were present to extend best wishes. Mrs. Jordan wore a pink lace dress and white carnations. The Jordans were married by the Rev. P. W. Chelf in the Flint Hill Baptist parsonage on November 25, 1930. For the anniversary party the home was decorated with white candles and arrangements of red roses. Misses Brenda Ausberry and Denise Tinch were in charge of the guest book and the tiered cake, made by Mrs. John Ausberry, was served by Mrs. Julia Jasper. Presiding at the punch bowls were Mrs. Archie Tinch and Mrs. Virginia Brown.
