Farewell Party For Mexican Minister
The Rev. Yose Esteban Hernandez R. of Matehuala, Mexico, who has spent several months with the Rev. and Mrs. Archie Clatterbuck, and has been a guest speaker at the Massanova Pentecostal Church near Amissville, has returned to his home. He was honored with a party held Friday night at Amissville fire hall in celebration of his birthday which is December 29; of Christmas and as a gesture of farewell.
Among those attending were Frank Kinsey, George Ritenour, Ray Burke, Jerry Brown, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Campbell and daughters Rachel and June, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pullen and Lisa Wharton.
In addition were Mrs. Juanita Grigsby, Mrs. Maggie Settle, Mrs. Alice Tharp, and Margie Williams, Mrs. Betty Ritenour and daughter Lori, Min Eunice Wharton, Miss Jeanie Brown, Rev. and Mrs. Archie Clatterbuck and daughter Ruth and Miss Mary Tharp.
Mathena, Mrs. Lillian Fox, Mrs. Betty Williams, Mrs. Ethel Williams and Mrs. Ralls. The next meeting will be held on January 12. The program will be on “New Ways with Hamburger.”
The ChesterGap Baptist Church will have its Christmas Program on Wednesday night, December 23 beginning at 7:30 o’clock. The public is invited to attend. Members of the church and H.D. Club will go Christmas caroling on Christmas Eve.
