Meeting Friday
An open meeting concerning the proposed power transmission line through Rappahannock is scheduled for Friday night, December 18 at the courthouse in Washington beginning at 8 p.m. The public is invite* to attend. According to a spokesman for the citizens group which has organized the meeting, the history of the proposed line to date will be discussed, as well as the effect of the zoning ordinances, legal position of the company, county and individuals and other general information. Answers to pertinent questions will be provided whenever possible.

The County Christmas Seal Chairman, Mrs. Earl Edmonds, reminds citizens to “Put this note at the top of the things-to-do -before Christmas: Mail check for Christmas Seals.”
Reminders were mailed to 19,646 citizens this past weekend who haven’t answered their letters.
