The primary topic of conversation and concern of the members of the House of Delegates as well as the State Senators continues to be the problem of redistricting the state. The House held a public hearing which several hundred people attended to express their feelings on this .most important matter. The Constitution requires that the state be redistricted every ten years and this means that the districts as established during this Special Session will continue in effect for the remainder of this decade. No one is able to predict when the House of Delegates and the Senate will complete this redistricting. When they have completed their own plans then it will be necessary to rearrange the congressional districts to comply with the “one man-one vote” rule established by the Supreme Court of the United States.
A bill of general interest which has been introduced is one granting more authority to the State Air Polution Control Board. The purpose of this bill is to grant the Board power to issue special orders directing owners who are causing air pollution to cease and
