> Despite the severe cold weather, the talk by Mr. James P. Jamieson on “Is the Stock Market for You?” drew a group of over 50 interested listeners last night at the Library. They came from Flint Hill, Castleton, Woodville, Sperryville, and Washington, and took full advantage of the question and answer period to clear up personal points regarding the advantages of different types of investments. In memory of Lois Finger Sevareid, Mr. Eric Sevareid has donated to the Library a group of books of current significance which he has reviewed as part of the background for his news cohimentafy. These are on display as a separate group, and will be for the month of February. After that they will be dispersed within the collection according to their subject matter. Mr. Sevareid plans to contribute such books periodically, as he accumulates them. These are primarily on current topics and give somewhat of a cross-section of contemporary thinking.
