Roy Samuel Jordan

Roy Samuel Jordan of Flint Hill died January 28, 1971 in the Warren Memorial Hospital at Front Royal. He was 89.

Surviving with his wife, Mrs. Eura Jordan, are two sons, Robert Jordan of Flint Hill and James M. Jordon of Harrisburg, Pa.; two daughters, Mrs. Essie P. Roberts of Washington, D. C. and Miss Willie 0. Jordan at home; four brothers, Isaac, Willie and Edward Jordan, all of Philadelphia and Robert Jordan of Amissville; four sisters', Mrs. Mary Wells, Mrs. Helen Russell, Mrs. Roberta Hutchinson and Mrs. Frances Miller, all of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Jordan was born in Rappahannock County, a son of the late Howard and Roberta W. Jordan.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at 2 o’clock in the Macedonia Baptist Church at Flint Hill by the Rev. Robert T. Alsberry and the Rev. Carter Alsberry. Interment was in the family cemetery at Flint Hill.
