Yet, without mass distribution and marketing the mass production would lose much of its value. If we’re going to grow our oranges in one or two places, make most of our automobiles in four or five major cities, and concentrate our furniture manufacturing in one or two states, we’ve got to have some way to get them to us. Mass distribution and marketing has been the answer.
Actually, efficient and wonderful as is our mass distribution and marketing system there is some question as to whether it has kept pace with mass production. For one thing, it hasn’t had as long to develop; for another, it probably can t be as massive minded.
