Rosser Carter
A funeral service for Rosser Carter, 59, of Culpeper was held Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 2 p.m. at Culpeper Baptist Church con Suited by the Rev. John S. Farrar Interment was in Amissville Baptist Church cemetery at Amissville. Mr. Carter, a former Rochester Corporation employee, died February 6, 1971. He had been in ill health for many years. He was a native of Fauquier County, son of the late Carroll and Ida Mae Alexander Carter. He is survived by his wife, the former Miss Dora Ann Corbin; two daughters, Mrs. Silas Martin of Amissville and Mrs. Charles Berry of Culpeper; one son, S-Sgt. Rosser Carter, Jr. of the U. S. Marine Corps; and seven grandj children. Also surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Lewis Poe and M.ys. Alfred Settle, both of Fairfax, arid Mrs. Fred Harris of Front Royal; two brothers, Claude Carter of Culpeper and Roy Carter of Amissville. Pallbearers were Bobby Carter, Milton Carter, Tommy Hitt, Edgar Poe, Butch Hitt, Jimmie Harris, Fred J. Harris and B. B. Mitchell. Geest Funeral Home was in charge.
