Miss Nan Elizabeth Gilbert became the bride of Charles Stewart Palmer on Saturday, February 6, 1971, in the Front Royal Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Richard Bethune performed the double-ring ceremony at two o’clock in the afternoon.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Dayton Gilbert of Front Royal. The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Charles Baker Palmer, Jr. of Ashland and the late Mr. Palmer of Washington, Virginia.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a formal gown of white velvet fashioned with an Empire waistline and A-line skirt.
