C. J. Miller jr. requested the Board of Supervisors to blacktop the parking lot and entrance to the parking lot behind the county buildings. The board agreed to take bids on this work. Dog Warden Jack Bruce presented claims for sheep killed by dogs in the amount of $48. Mr. Bruce recommended payment on what he felt were ligitimate claims and the Board approved same.

There will be a Country Ham and Chicken dinner on Saturday, May 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Chester Gap fire hall for the benefit of the volunteer fire department. All patronage will be appreciated. Adult dinners, $2.00, children’s $1.00.
