Honor students of the 1971 graduating class at Rap pahannock County High Schoo have been announced by principal Dennis Wingfield. Valedictorian is David Cordle of Sperryville, son ol Mrs. W. H. Cordle. Lois Yates is salutatorian. She is also from Sperryville, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Yates. C. G. Thornhill of Boston placed third academically. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Thornhill. In fourth place is Christine Fox, daughter of Mrs. James Scott oi Huntly and Charles Fox of Front Royal.
David Cordle is a member of the local chapter of the National Honor Society... School activities in which Lois Yates participated were the National Honor Society, treasurei of the senior class and business manager of the yearbook.
