WadeF. Settle, Jr. returned last week to the home of his parents Mr. and Mrs. Wade F. Settle after serving the past 18 months in Germany with the U. S. Army. He has completed his service duty. Mr. and Mrs. Gene Edward Ackley and family of Annandale were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Edward E. Clark. Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Curtis entertained with a Mother’s Day dinner and birthday in honor of Mr. Curtis’ mother, Mrs. Julia Curtis of Amissville. Other guests were Mrs. Curtis’ parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. A. Timmons and their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. James Todd, all of Alexandria, Mr. and Mrs. William Curtis of Washington, Va. and William J. Curtis of College Park, Md.
