Rappahannock Library Board, serving until April 22, 1975. The Supervisors approved the purchase of a typewriter desk for the Zoning Office, said purchase being made with funds previously appropriated for use by the Zoning Board. A hospital bill submitted by the county Department of Welfare was rejected and hospital contracts for the University of Virginia, Warren Memorial and Winchester Memorial hospitals were referred to Mrs. Betty Coates for study and a recommendation.
On recommendation of District Extension Agent James F. Johnson, the Board approved the appointment of Miss Kay Webb as Extension Agent Home Economics for Rappahannock.
Board Chairman Miller discussed the need of studying the Rappahannock Zoning Ordinances and it was decided this would be the duty of the Planning Commission of Rappahannock. The Board would approve the employment of Rosser Payne of Warrenton to do the work if this meets with the approval of the Planning Commission. The Clerk informed the Board that a communication had been received from the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company requesting a rate increase. The Clerk was asked to write the utility company in protest. The Board authorized the transfer of $12,100 to the school fund to cover costs of repair to the local high school gymnasium floor. Various accounts were approved for payment before the group adjburned.
