Last Wednesday approximately 80 4-H’ers and parents enjoyed a picnic and day of swimming at Wakefield Manor, the home of Dr. and Mrs. Albert A. Lucas at Huntly. The scenic location of the pool which the Lucases had taken much lime to ready was a perfect setting. The 4-H’ers and the Extension Office would like to thank Dr. and Mrs. Lucas for the use of their pool, Andy Nichols, who served as lifeguard for the day, and to the many parents who provided transportation to and from the picnic, and helped supervise the day.
Mrs. Elizabeth Scherschel’s 4-H group will meet . Thursday (today L at 1 p.m. at her home in Flint Hill. Each girl is asked to bring: 1 wooden dress hanger, 1 oz. knitting worsted yarn, Vfe yard matching ribbon and 1 pair stocking needles or 1 crochet hook size 00.

Mrs. Reverdy H. Jones, III and infant son Reverdy, IV left Wednesday from National Airport to join Mr. Jones at Fort Knox, Ky.
Sunday afternoon visitors of Mrs. Guy Burke were David Burke and Miss Nancy Cox of Alexandria.
Charles Burnette and three sons of Arlington and Mrs. Thelma Clark of Falls Church were guests Saturday of Mrs. Downing Wood at Sunnyside. Mrs. Wood’s guests on Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Costello and family of Markham. Sunday supper guests were Miss Mary Miller Wood and her houseguests Mrs. Louise K. Cockey and Miss Frankie Keyser. Dr. and Mrs. Gordon Lindenblad and children Eric, Kristina and Ambler of Chesterfield, Mo. arrived Tuesday lo spent several days with Mrs. Lindenblad’s brother-in-law and sister Mr. and Mrs. W. Arthur Miller at Mt. Prospect.
