Fletcher, riding in the car, sustained a hip injury and another passenger, Reginald Robinson Gatewood of Falls Church had a back injury. A motorcycle collided with two automobiles Sunday morning just west of Sperryville. Anthony Elbert Link of Raleigh, N. C. operating a 1971 Harley Davidson motorcycle struck two cars he was meeting; one a 1970 Mercedes Benz owned and operated by Dale Edwin Speake of Mar bury, Md. and a 1970 Ford driven by Alfred Eldridge Viars of Indianhead, Md.
Link sustained abrasions of the arm and back and Cynthia Geraldine Norris of Adelphi, Md., a passenger on the cycle, had lacerations and abrasions of her head and hand. They were taken to Culpeper Memorial Hospital by Sperryville Rescue Squad.
Link was charged with failing to drive to the right of the center of the road.
A motorist struck and killed a deer on Route 211 near Rose Hill east of Washington early Tuesday morning. Lewis Wayne Good of Stanley was operating a 70 Ford Maverick when he struck the animal.
At 11:45 Tuesday morning five miles west of Sperryville on Route 211 two vehicles collided. Wayne Junior Painter of Greenbelt, Md. in a ’71 Chevrolet had stopped to make a left turn when he was struck from behind by Ruby Lamb Painter of Luray who was in a ’70 Ford. She was charged with reckless driving and damage was set at $1,200 to the Ford and at $300 to the Chevrolet.
