Mrs. Bertie Hackley, Mrs. Jean Burner and Faye were Thursday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Bowling in Fredericksburg. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Burner and Faye, and Mrs. Bertie Hackley attended the Burner Reunion at Luray. Miss Janice Smith was a Monday guest of Miss Rose Dennis. Mr. and Mrs. Donald Settle and Donnie were Saturday over-night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Acrey Dodson. Rickie Settle was a guest of his uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Roy Wharton in Manassas for a week.

Tower Vesper Service
The Reverend Dr. Allan B. Slanger, Chaplain of Lynchburg College, will be the speaker at the Sunset Vesper Program at the Singing Tower in Luray on Sunday, August 22. The Singing Tower is adjacent to the Luray Caverns.
Dr. Stanger has been a teacher at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg for twenty-four years. He is an Associate Professor of Religion, Professor of Public Speaking and Director of Ministerial Education.
