Delegate and Mrs. George J. Kostel wave to the crowd of supporters after the 4th term member of the Va. House of Delegates won the democratic party’s Lt. Governor nomination. Del. Kostel, 43, a Clifton Forge lawyer in accepting the nomination of the state convention held in Hampton Saturday said, “I accept in behalf of the memory of our late Lt. Gov. J. Sargeant Reynolds. I accept the nomination from a united democratic party.”
Kostel took his B.A. degree at Hampden-Sydney College and his LL.D. at Washington and Lee University.
