Funeral services for Hubert Jackson (Jack) Nicholson of Washington, Va. were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel in Culpeper. Burial followed at the Washington Masonic Cemetery. The Rev Kirby Shenk of Luray conducted the services.
Mr. Nicholson, 76, died August 16, 1971 at Newton D. Baker Veterans Hospital in Martinsburg, W. Va. A native of Rappahannock County he was the son of the late John Benton and Roberta Burke Nicholson
He was a veteran of World War 1, having served in the Engineering Corps and was a retired farmer and orchardist.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Fannie Jenkins Nicholson of Washington; three sons, Clarence J Nicholson and William E. Nicholson, both of Front Royal and Marvin D Nicholson of Philadelphia, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. Dorothy F. Reynolds of Falls Church; 11 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Ailie Huff, John Burke, James W. Burke, Earl Hawkins, James Nicholson and Milton Hawkins.
