Highlighting activities Friday will be selection and crowning of a carnival queen who will act as Amissville Honorary Fire Chief for the year. A number of young ladies are entered in the contest for queen and the winner will not be disclosed until time for the coronation.
4-H Fair Set
Wed. Aug. 25
A 4-H Fair will be held Wednesday, August 25th, at the Flint Hill Fire Hall. The exhibits will be open to the public from 1 to 5 p.m. Awards will be presented at 4:30 p.m. On exhibit will be items such as tie-dying, burlap ruler holders, Macrame belts, wooden book ends and knitting that the 4-H’ers have made in their Clubs this summer.
