Two Injured In
Single Car Crash
Two people were injured Saturday in a single vehicle crash at Fletcher’s Mill bridge on Route 522 a mile south of Sperryville. James Oscar Sisk of Culpeper sustained a fractured left foot and dislocated right hip while Hugh Robert Deal jr. of Sperryville had multiple abrasions, according to Trooper G. F. Gregory. James Oscar Sisk was charged with reckless driving, and damage Lo the car, a 67 Plymouth, was es' -nated at $1,100. The vehicle ^ent out of control and struck the cement bridge abutment.
George William Alther of Washington lost control of his vehicle, a 1966 Chevrolet, on a curve on Route 211 at Ben Venue Thursday night, striking two highway posts and a guard rail. Damage was set at $200 and Alther was cited for reckless driving by Trooper JB. Willis.
Early Sunday morning on Route 211 a half mile east of Sperryville Charles Edwin Dodson of Sperryville traveling east ran off the road,, into a cornfield when he attempted to avoid striking an animal, according to Trooper J. B. Willis. Dodson was not injured and damage was estimated at $350 to the 68 Mustang he was driving.
