Douglas Baumgardner and John Baumgardner left this week to return to their studies at Virginia Military Institute in Lexington. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Mundy of Richmond were Sunday afternoon callers of Mrs. W. M. Fletcher. John Weaver of Washington, D. C. spent Friday with his father, J. Stant Weaver. Sunday visitors of Mr. Weaver were Mr. and Mrs. Nick Penaranda and family of Fairfax and all attended the Mt. Lebanon Church picnic at Graves Mountain Lodge. Mrs. Willie Payne was an outpatient several days last week for tests at Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. Mrs. Jesse Ward had as guests recently at her home Echo Hill Farm Mr. and Mrs. John A. Miller of Raleigh, N. C. and with them attended the Romeo and Juliet Ballet at Wolf Trap Farm in Vienna. Mrs. Ward’s Sunday guests were Mrs. C. 0. Raymond, her daughter Mrs. Fred A. Hufnagel, Jr. and daughter Donna, of Warrenton. The Rev. J. P. Pullen of Danville was the weekend guest of Mr. and Mrs. T. L. Eastham at Ben Venue and visited other relatives and friends in the county.
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Updike arrived Tuesday from Biloxi, Miss, at the home of Mr. Updike’s mother, Mrs. John Updike. Mr. Updike has completed his tour ol duty with the U.S. Air Force.
Stewart Hawkins is spending several weeks with his parents Mr. and Mrs. Milton M. Hawkins, Jr. before returning to employment in Norfolk.
Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Bun tin and daughter Nancy returned Tuesday from a two week vacation spent at Edgartown, Mass.
