Mrs. Mary W. Hitt

Funeral services were held Monday at the Clore Funeral Home for Mrs. Mary Woodard Hitt* 88, of Culpeper. The Rev. Robert Ellis of Culpeper conducted the service. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Hitt died August 21, 1971 at her residence. She is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Hitt of Culpeper; two sons, James E. Hitt and Charles E. Hitt, and a daughter, Mrs. Willie F. Hensley, all of Culpeper. Mrs. Hitt was a native of Rappahannock County, the daughter of the late John P. Woodard and Caroline Woodard. She had lived in Culpeper for many years.
