Edward Clarence Hitt, 58, a native of Rappahannock County, died August 21, 1971 at his residence in Fredericksburg, following a brief illness.
He was the son of the late Wade Hunton Hitt and the late Annie Byrd Hitt of Rappahannock and Culpeper.
Mr. Hitt is survived by two
Ariz., and Lyle Haywood Hitt of Culpeper, and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was conducted in the Culpeper National Cemetery Wednesday at 11:15 a.m. by the Rev. John S. Farrar, pastor of Culpeper Baptist Church. The service was conducted with full military honors.
