Schools in “Rappahannock County will open Monday, August 30 and teachers began their duties this week in preparation. In conference at the local elementary school Wednesday morning were Mrs. Mary B. Quain^kricer principal, and newly appointed assistant principal Robert G. Whitten. Classes at both schools will be dismissed at 2 p.m. opening day with a full day schedule thereafter. Monday, September 6 will be observed as a holiday.
