Mrs. Barbara Hudson, sons David and Mark and Mrs. Marcia Bullion enjoyed a picnic on Skyline Drive on Sunday. PFC Larry Conners of Fort Jackson, S. C. spent the weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emory Conners. Sunday the Conners family with Miss Joyce Ay lor of Cherry Hill, N. J. and Mrs. Weldon Cline of Culpeper were dinner guests of Major and Mrs. Charles Grizzle of Fredericksburg. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Jenkins and family of Frederick, Md. were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Buster Hitt and sons and Mrs. Virginia Jenkins. They also visited Mr. Jenkins’ grandmother, Mrs. Will Butler.
Mrs. Amos Butler, Mr. and Mrs. Winston Sibert and daughter Becky left on Thursday for a tour of West Virginia stopping overnight in Elkins and Wheeling, returning home on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Sibert and Becky returned to their home in Takoma Park, Md. Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Butler and family of McLean joined them for dinner on Sunday. The W.M.S. of Woodville Baptist Church met Tuesday night. The third chapter of the mission book “The Seed Corn” was used with Mrs. Raymond Johnson as leader.
Richard Burke, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Clark and Misty Hitt attended the Quarterly Meeting of the N. Va. F.H.A. held Friday night in Culpeper. Plans for a field trial and bench show were made for September 8-11. Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson accompanied their granddaughters Joann and Judy Johnson to National Airport Wednesday for the return trip to their home in Lakeland, 8-11. Mr. and Mrs. John Dodson and E. P. Brown of Culpeper and Mr. and Mrs. Kermit Weakley of Washington, D. Va. were Sunday evening dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Daczewitz and W. A. Dulaney.
