his runners in the Virginia State Cross Country Championship Meet scheduled for Saturday, November 13 at the College ol William and Mary, Williamsburg. There they hope to find how they stack up against the best schools of their size in Virginia. Che team has proved to be very good everywhere it has competed and at Williamsburg it hopes to prove it is among the best small high school cross country team in the Old Dominion.

The Rappahannock County Elementary School P.T.A. will meet in the School Auditorium on Wednesday night, November 17, at 7:30 p.m. After the regular business session, the meeting will be turned over to Clayton Turner, the Director of Federal Programs for Rappahannock and Warren Counties, who will discuss the Title I Summer Program and the Distar Reading Program now being used in some of the classrooms at the first and second grade levels. The public is cordially invited.

Harvest Supper

The annual Harvest Supper sponsored by Forest Grove Baptist Church will be held Saturday, November 20 in the old Forest Grove school building near Viewtown. The dinner features country ham and turkey and service begins at 5 p.m. Adult dinners and all carry-out boxes are $2.50 and children are $1.25. Proceeds benefit Forest Grove Baptist Church.

Achievement Night

Set For Homemakers

Tonight, Thursday, November 11, the Homemakers Clubs of Rappahannock County will hold Achievement Night at Chester Gap. The program begins at 7:30 and will take place in the fire hall there.

Each club in the county will prepare an exhibit which will show a phase of club activity. An award will be made for the best display. From reports given by various clubs an “Outstanding Club of the Year” will be selected. The public is extended a cordial invitation.
