This wooden deck bridge, constructed at Rudacill’s Mill near Woodville, was accomplished with State Highway forces rather than a contractor, thereby saving many thousands of dollars. Total costs of the bridge was approximately $20,000 and would have been five times as great had it been let for contract. The saving is possible by using regular personnel, saving right of way fees, legal and administrative fees, etc. The approach to the bridge was also improved. The old truss bridge is not visible but is located at the right of the new one and Will soon be scrapped.
