Martin
A funeral service for Preston Baker Martin of Brandy Station was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Geest Funeral Home Chapel, Culpeper, conducted by the Rev. A. C. Walker, jr. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Martin, 55, died November 6, 1971 at the University of Virginia Hospital. A native of Rappahannock County, he was the son of the late Austin P. Martin and the late Mary Cloud Martin He was a veteran of World War II and had resided at Brandy Station for the past 20 years.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Lee Martin of Brandy Station and Richard Edward Martin of Shinnston, W. Va.; one sister, Mrs. Maddox Tapp of Front Royal and five grandchildren.
Ellis C. Dodson
Ellis Clifton Dodson of Front Royal, died November 8, 1971 in Winchester Memorial Hospital. He was 69.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal by the Rev Jerry Young. Interment was in the Masonic Cemetery at Washington
He was born in Rappahannock County, a son of the late Jacob and Hettie Jenkins Dodson. Surviving with his wife, Mrs. Nellie Atkins Dodson, are a son, Clifton E. Dodson of Front Royal; four daughters, Miss Lucy Dodson of Front Royal, Mrs. Jeanette Jenkins of Waterlick, Mrs. Bessie Wilkinson of Annandale and Mrs. Ruth Dodson of Arlington; four brothers, William, Roy and Buchanan Dodson, all of Brightwood and Thomas Dodson of Florence, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Bertie Atkins of Sperryville and Mrs. Nellie Dodson of Woodville; fifteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
