Lillard

A funeral service for Allen Yowell Lillard will be held at 3:30 pm. Thursday (today) in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church at Nethers of which he was a member. The Rev. B. B. Kent will conduct the service and interment will be in the Etlan Cemetery. Mr. Lillard, 90, of Sperryville died November 9, 1971 at the Cedars Arlington House in Charlottesville. A native of Madison County, he was the son of the late Columbus and Lucy Lillard, and was a retired farmer. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Nelson Nethers of Sperryville, with whom he made his home in recent years; five sons, Roy C. Lillard of Etlan. Thomas L. Lillard of Silver Spring, Md., Guy T. Lillard of Clearmont, Fla., Elmer C. Lillard of Orlando, Fla., and Robert N. Lillard of Sperryville; one sister, Mrs. Mamie Hellems of Unionville; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clyde Lillard, Charlie Lillard, John Coates, Dutton Yowell, William Coppedge, Rogers Jones, Dovell Hellems and Charles Hickerson.
