4-H Club Report

The 4th grade 4-H girls met on Thursday, October 21 at 2 p.m. in Miss Dodson’s room. The following officers were elected at the first meeting: President, Jeannie Dwyer; Vice-Pres., Sandra Rowland; Treasurer, Connie Wharton; and Reporter, Donna Grigsby. Miss Webb, our 4H teacher, demonstrated how to make ornaments from play dough. Next, we discussed pets. Finally, we discussed various projects we would like to do in 4-H this year. The President then adjourned the meeting.

Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Welch of Arlington were guests for the day Sunday of Mrs. John Poe. Mr. and Mrs. Ronnie Poe and family were visitors Sunday of the Rev. and Mrs. W. A. Layman in Tappahannock. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Payne accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Goldthorpe of Warrenton spent the day touring in West Virginia.
