Neither Mrs. Bettv Coates, Piedmont District nor J. R. Latham, Jackson District, had competition for Board of Supervisor positions.
Mrs Virginia D. Smith was elected as Commissioner of the Revenue by a total vote of 849 over the nearest competition, Mrs. Ruth Grimsely who received 486. Vernon Leake was given 66 while Henry Hudson received 169. John Walker Jenkins polled 865 votes for the office of Sheriff while incumbent Charles K. Estes received 675. A third candidate, Edward Timbers was given 88 ballots. • Commonwealth’s Attorney George H. Davis jr. and Robert L. Brown, Treasurer were unopposed. Delegate D.
