Changes Ownership
A joint announcement has been made this week of sale of The Rappahannock News by Green Publishers, Inc. of Orange to the Fauquier Publishing Co. at The Plains. The latter firm also prints The Piedmont Virginian in Fauquier County.
No staff or policy changes are planned, according to the new owners, with Mrs. Sarah Latham of Amissrville continuing as editor and general manager. The local paper will continue as the county seat weekly voice of Rappahannock.
The changeover becomes effective with the first issue of 1972.
