Smckey’s new partner, "Woodsy, the Owl.” is complete with the slogan, “Give a Hoot, Don’t Pollute,” and a whistle that hcots instead of shrilling. Woodsy will serve as a constant reminder to those enjoying the nation’s forests and other resources to prevent litter and damage to their natural surroundings.

Miss Landra Dennis of Richmond will spend the holiday weekend with her parents Mr. and Mrs. G. H. Dennis and her grandfather L. H. Luttrell. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis will be dinner guests this evening at a Dennis family party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Johnson in Luray.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Armentrout and daughter Shelly spent last week with Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Latham at Horner Hill Farm returning to their home in Newark, Del. Sunday. Sgt. and Mrs. Jimmy Latham and son Jamie of Landover, Md. will spend Christmas Day with the Latham’s and will be joined by the Armentrouts.
