Clarence L. Jenkins
A funeral service for Clarence Leonard Jenkins of Sperryville was held Monday at 1 p.m. at Geest Funeral Home Chapel conducted by the Rev. Lindbergh Atkins. Burial was in Sperryville Cemetery. Mr. Jenkins, 72, a retired farmer and orchardist, died December 18 at his home following an illness of two years. He was a native of Rappahannock County, son of the late Booten and Blanche Jenkins. His wife, Jessie Inez Jenkins died in 1968.
He is survived by one son, Ivan E. Jenkins of Alexandria; seven daughters, Mrs. James Chesgreen of Odenton. Md.. Mrs. Calvin Walters, Mrs. John Poist and Mrs. Eddie Reel, all of Laurel, Md., Mrs. Mabel Deal and Mrs. Larry Sheppard, both of Sperryville, and Mrs. Samuel Entsminger of Falls Church; a half-brother, Meade Nichols of Peola Mills; 21 grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren.

Louis Carter, a native of Washington, Va. died unexpectedly at the home of his daughter Mrs. Mabel Brent in Washington, D. C. December 21, *971. r' Fr6i£ncfe' will * Be' receded at Jones Funeral Home, Warrenton on Sunday. A funeral service will be held Monday, December 27 at 1 p.m. at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Front Royal. The body will be at the church from 10 a.m. until funeral time.
He is survived by his wife Fannie Carter of Front Royal, three daughters Mrs. Ruth Brown, Mrs. Mabel Brent and Miss Ann Carter of Washington, D. C.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Also surviving are two sisters Mrs. Laura Barbour and Mrs. Florence Mitchell.
