The Rappahannock Panthers met defeat in their last two games of 1971 last week when they met William Monroe and Stonewall Jackson. The William Monroe Dragons hosted the Panthers Friday night, posting a double win by taking the junior varsity and varsity contests. In the varsity game, a combination of Rappahannock’s cold foul shooting, (one for nineteen) and William "Monroe’s hot shooting spelled defeat. The final score was 65 to 41, with William Monroe’s Ray Powell leading all scorers with 38 points. The Panthers hosted the Stonewall Jackson Generals Monday night and again lost twice, this time by a score of 76-53 in the varsity game and 51-30 in the junior.
