Jeff Havel, brother of the bride af Columbia, South Carolina was best man. Ushers were George Dixon of Staunton, Virginia, David Bradley and Rev. John Lown, both of Richmond, Virginia. The bride’s mother attended the wedding in a formal velvet skirt of a subdued leaf design, worn with a white crepe blouse. She chose matching accessories and a corsage of red roses. The bridegroom’s mother was attired in a formal gown of burgundy panne velvet with matching accessories and a corsage of gardenias. Following their southern wedding trip, the couple will reside at Leesburg.
4-H Club Report
The 5th Grade 4-H Club met December 15 in Mrs. Cooke’s room. The president, Julia Gordon, opened the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge.
Vice President, Kim Gilkey, gave a program on 4-H Camp. We saw a film about making different types of cookies. Our meeting ended with Miss Webb showing us some examples of decorated cookies.
