SINCE the Front Royal Livestock Market was destroyed by fire last year, the producers were faced with a decision of relocating the sale this fall.
After taking into consideration that two markets are planned for Front Royal and neither is firmly committed as to time of opening — and a number of calves would be lost regardless of location and other economic factors — a group voted to join the Culpeper facility.
This vote was cast with the provision that the directors of both the Rappahannock and Culpeper associations could reach a mutually satisfactory marketing agreement.
