Contest near end
A POSTER-ESSAY CONTEST, sponsored by Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection, is nearing completion. The contest with the theme, “Beautiful Rappahannock, What Can 1 Do?”, was open to all students in Rappahannock County schools. The contest was launched through the cooperation of school principals Mrs. Mary Quaintance and Dennis Wingfield.
Mr. and Mrs. James Kilpatrick will judge the entries and winners in each grade will be awarded cash prizes which have been made available through private donations.
A list of winners will be published and all posters will be turned over to lan Pryde, chairman of the county clean up campaign, which is scheduled for April 8-15. □
