DEVELOPERS of new subdivisions should bear 100 per cent of all the costs ' they incur to a county, a veteran real estate dealer in Prince William County has advised the Board of Supervisors of Rappahannock County.
R. O. Bridges of Manassas also thinks developers should be charged “a building permit fee. . .based upon the cost of the construction of any new schools for any subdivision. ..or the developers be made to build the schools and then in turn ‘title over to the county.’”
Bridges, who owns a farm in Rappahannock County, wrote that it “would break my heart to see your county chopped up with four houses per acre lots, or 12 townhouses per acre.”
His letter, which was read at a recent meeting of the Rappahannock Supervisors, follows:
