Dogwood Day
is April 7
Rappahannock Dogwood Planting Day will be Friday, April 7. Once again young dogwood trees, two per family, will be available at the Extension Office.
Cooperating in digging the trees will be Jack Lockhart, Sanitarian; Tippy Jenkins, Chief Forest Warden; Irvin Kenyon, Game Warden, David Poe, Soil Conservationist; and Rap Owings, Extension Agent.
Orders must be placed in advance of April 7 and can be made by calling Miss Ruby Jenkins 6753619 (day) or 675-3352 (night). Seedlings may be picked up between the hours of 2 - 5 p.m. on April 7.
