Judge C.F. Germelman of the Seventh Regional Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court has commended the School Boards and the school personnel of Rappahannock and Warren Counties for the preparation and adoption of a policy relating to use, possession and sale of illegal drugs.
In a letter to the school superintendent which was shared with the Rappahannock Board, Judge Germelman stated that the Rappahannock policy was a clear, intelligent and thought-out approach regarding drugs.
The policy has much to commend it the Judge stated, in that: “It clearly sets out the duties of all school personnel; it adopts a ‘no nonsense’ approach to the problem, viewing it as, for the most part, criminal conduct—which it is.”
