about the county. There were so many familiar names, though I suspect many of them are of the second and third generations of the wonderful folk that I had the pleasure of knowing.
I grew up in the neighborhood of Amissville and Viewtown. My last full year there, 1914, at age 17, I was employed as teamster for Mr. Isaiah Corbin, whom I remember as a solid citizen and a very fine gentleman. From there the story is too long to relate.
Having spent the greater part of my life here in Ohio, I like it very much, but I still love Rappahannock County.
