Dr. William H. Young, Jr., of Alexandria and Castleton in Rappahannock County, recently reappointed by Governor Holton to the Professional Advisory Board on Mental Health and Mental Retardation has been elected chairman of the board as of January 1, 1973.
He succeeds Dr. J. Guy. Price of Norfolk.
Dr. Young was formerly psychiatrist-director of the Alexandria Mental Hygiene Clinic (now the Alexandria Community Mental Health Center) and chief of the department of psychiatry, Alexandria Hospital. He is past chairman of the Northern Virginia chapter of the Washington Psychiatric Society.
