Some Virginians are throwing their new driver’s licenses away inadvertently, as they receive them in the mail. The Division of Motor Vehicles reports that these motorists apparently assume their new license is merely a changeof-address card.
According to Commissioner Vern L. Hill, the confusion may stem from the new computer-printed operator’s license, which currently is replacing the old plastic embossed portion of the license. He urges any motorist, who has applied recently for a new or renewal operator’s license, to examine mail from the Division carefully. It may contain the new license.
