Nelson Corbin, the beloved neighbor and friend to legions of folk was always “NEWS.” Scarcely a household or farm along the highways and byways of Beautiful Rappahannock where he was not v legend as a storyteller, philosopher and living example of Virginia’s “mother wit and common sense!” He helped keep our roads in shape for many years.
I submit the following, not as poetry, surely, but a news story in verse, about another important event in Nelson’s life and in the lives of the many who love him:
