OBITUARIES
Brown
Maury Willis Brown of Sperryville died at his residence March 1, 1973. He was 76. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Geest Funeral Home Chapel with his pastor, the Rev. Roland Wiley presiding. Burial was in Fairview cemetery with full military honors.
Mr. Brown was the son of the late Henry Aldridge Brown and the late Allie Woodward Brown of Sperryville. He was a farmer and orchardist and a veteran of World War I, serving with the expeditionary forces in France. He was a member of the VFW Post No. 1150 of Sperryville and a member of the Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Eleanor DeShazo Brown; three daughters, Mrs. Phyllis Shirey, Mrs. Donald R. Williams and Mrs. Jean Konek, all^ of Richmond; three sons, Sgt. Maury W. Brown Jr. of the U. S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Spring, Colo., Henry Allen Brown of Winston Salem, N.C., and Charles R. Brown of Oxford, Ohio.
Other survivors include three sisters, Mrs. A. R. Partlow of Culpeper, Mrs. J. Earl Wayland and Mrs. E. W. Gore, all of Sperryville; a brother, Robert F. Brown of Sperryville, and 19 grandchildren. □
