HE JOINED the state air agency February 16 as the board was filling some other gaps in its staff—including the positions of director of its division of planning and data processing and director for the seventh of its seven air, quality control regions.
After briefings in the board’s Northern Virginia Region office (Region 7) at Falls Church, Kearns went to work again in home territory.
From April 9 to 20 he will attend the course in principles and practice of air pollution control conducted by the Institute for Air Pollution Training of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency at Research Triangle Park, N.C.
